Preity Zinta To Make A Comeback In Sunny Deol-Aamir Khan’s Lahore 1947; Deets Inside

In an exciting piece of news, Preity Zinta is all set to make a comeback. She will be seen with Sunny Deol in Lahore 1947. The film was in the headlines for a long time. It will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions. After a long time, Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol will be sharing screen space. The news has surely raised excitement levels among their fans.

Rajkumar Santoshi shares his sentiments about the pairing of Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta and said, “After a long time, Preity Zinta is again playing a very important role for the silver screen with Lahore 1947. She is indeed an extremely talented, finest, and most natural actress in our industry. Whichever character she plays she totally invests herself in it and makes the audience feel that she is made for that character. Interestingly, the audience will see her again with Sunny Deol. This on-screen pair has always been immensely loved by the audience. Above all, this film’s script demands a pair that is as accurate as Sunny and Preity.” The shoot starts today 12th February.

Sunny Deol, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Aamir Khan will collaborate for the first time. While the buzz for the film was already high, recently, the director raised the audiences’ expectations by announcing that AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar would also be a part of the film. The Indian Express quoted him as saying, “It’s a reunion with the most talented people. I worked with Aamir in Andaz Apna Apna and this time he is collaborating as a producer. On the other hand, with Sunny Deol, we made the most loved films like Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak.” The director had added that this is the “ best dream team and rare to come together.”

Speaking about how he ended up collaborating with Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol told on Koffee With Karan 8 that the process was initiated at Gadar 2 success party. Sunny Deol said, “When Aamir Khan came to the success party of Gadar 2, he came to me and said that he wanted to meet me. I surprisingly asked myself what it was all about, and the next day we met, we discussed some ideas and possibilities for cooperation, and after the conclusion, we came to this project, and that’s how it happened.”

Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi are reuniting for Lahore 1947 following their renowned cult classic Andaz Apna Apna.
