Murder Mubarak is now streaming on Netflix.

Karisma Kapoor got candid about her latest film ‘Murder Mubarak’ that was released on March 15.

Karisma Kapoor can be seen in the multi-starrer film Murder Mubarak. This Homi Adjania film also features Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, and Tisca Chopra. The actress has been promoting the murder suspense drama and in her recent interview, she revealed what made her opt for Murder Mubarak.

In an interview with the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Karisma Kapoor shared, “I don’t think I played such a whacky eccentric person ever and I think Homi knows that space and genre and at the same time he is very organic so I think that for me was very interesting and of course this stellar, talented cast and after Hum Saath Saath Hain, I think this has been my big ensemble film.”

Homi Adajania also quipped, “When I went through all these and I suddenly saw Lolo’s pictures, I was like ‘Oh my God,’ I didn’t think of her because she is so selective, beyond selective. I was like she would be perfect as Shehnaaz Noorani.”

Directed by Homi Adajania, Murder Mubarak is based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel Club You To Death. The film stars a long list of actors – from Sara Ali Khan to Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Deven Bhojani and Tisca Chopra. It is a crime thriller and is currently streaming on Netflix.

News18 Showsha review of the film reads, “Murder Mubarak is a fun watch also because it uses comedy to raise the important issue of class structure in our society. Royal Delhi Club signifies the elite and privileged. When Deven reveals the rules of the club, it might make you laugh but if you think about it, it is sad and shocking. Even though Murder Mubarak is intriguing, it slips away the murderer’s identity at the beginning. The predictability acts as a spoilsport. But, even if you guess the murderer, the film manages to keep the motive a suspense till the end. That’s the beauty of the film.”
