Is Akshay Kumar Joining Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 After Vidya Balan? Director Anees Bazmee REVEALS; Deets

The much-anticipated third installment of the hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is all set to go on floors soon. Since the fans have been waiting with their bated breaths about more updates around the film, Kartik Aaryan has given everyone the surprise of their lives by announcing Vidya Balan’s return as Manjulika.

On Monday, Kartik Aaryan shared a montage of scenes from ‘Ami Je Tomar’ dance that was performed by him in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as well as the OG Vdiya Balan’s performance from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The song used in the clip is also a duet of the song sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Posting the video on his Instagram handle, Kartik Aaryan wrote, “And its happening Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya ❤️‍This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar.”

This prompted fans to wonder if Akshay, too, will be a part of the third installment. And now, director Anees Bazmee, he said that the actor is not a part of the film. Speaking to Zoom, he said, “No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In future, certainly yes.” He mentioned that the shoot for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is scheduled for March 10, but Anees also noted that he hasn’t ‘confirmed the exact date yet’.

Talking about Vidya, Anees recalled that Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in his film Thank You. “Look, Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in my film Thank You. I remember calling her, and she taking no time to give her nod of consent. I don’t know why, but I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there, and here I am today, ready to go on the set.”

Headlined by Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani with a spectacular performance by Tabu, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was the perfect Bollywood horror comedy. It was released in 2022 and grossed over 180 crore in India. The film also starred Rajpal Yadav.
